Flowering NOW was created by Melanie Stapleton and Katie Marx as a project where Melbourne’s flower community could come together. Sharing their love of nature in ways that defy traditional understandings of floristry. With no competitive aspect, free from commercial demands and briefs. Our drive is to create community and foster a supportive and inclusive flowering scene. Melbourne is home to some of Australia’s most talented and innovative florists and Flowering NOW creates a platform to showcase our unique styles with the wilder public and celebrate our amazing industry.

Exploring ideas of containment and escape, creating enclaves and interiors that play with the pressure and the freedom within the natural world.

Translucent panels made from biodegradable plastic, envelopes and obscures the botanical works, creating a new view and the possibility of escape.
